Overview
The NC40’s counterfeit detection has been tested at Central Banks - the NC40 passed with a 100% accuracy rating. The NC40 counts all currencies at 1,600 bills per minute, faster than most bill counters on the market and with its top loading hopper it’s perfect for high volume, continuous counting.
The NC40 conveniently allows you to input the denomination you are counting so it can calculate the total value of your sorted bills as well as the total quantity. Other unique features include rogue currency detection, automatic/manual start & heavy-duty performance.
100% Accurate Counterfeit Detection*
The NC40 simultaneously counts & verifies your bills. If a counterfeit is detected the NC40 pauses counting and alerts you with a visual and audio warning. Simply remove the counterfeit and press start to resume counting.

Central banks such as the Bank of England have a vast knowledge of counterfeiting techniques. To keep pace with counterfeiters, the NC40 is regularly tested at Central Bank’s using their latest counterfeit and authentic bills.
Each and every time the NC40 successfully identifies all counterfeit and authentic bills, guaranteeing 100% accurate counterfeit detection.
Single Denomination Value Counting
Unlike other models, the NC40 allows you to input the denomination you are counting so it can display the total value counted, as well as the total quantity counted. No manual calculations, no time wasted.
Unique High Speed Counting
The NC40 has one of the fastest counting speeds of any other bill counter (1,600 bills per minute) enabling you to eliminate human error, simplify your cash handling process and save time. Advanced infrared sensors ensure maximum counting accuracy & reliability.
The counting speed is adjustable to cater for different conditions of bills. You can therefore select between 3 speed settings:
- 600 bills per minute
- 1,000 bills per minute
- 1,600 bills per minute
High Capacity Continuous Feeding
The NC40 is engineered and tested for high volume, error-free counting. It features a top loading hopper that is easier to use, has a larger bill capacity and allows you to add bills to the hopper while it runs, for continuous counting.
Batch Counting & Add Functions
Preparing bank deposits, cash drawers & currency straps has never been easier. Simply input a batch quantity and the NC40 will automatically pause counting each time it counts that quantity.
The add function allows you to add different stacks of bills together. Ideal for keeping track of the total counting result across individual runs. The add and batch function can be used at the same time for maximum efficiency.
Detects Rogue Currencies
The NC40 detects rogue currencies that have been mistakenly put in your stack. If a different sized bill is detected, the machine automatically pauses counting and alerts you with a visual & audio warning. No manual checking, no time wasted.
When counting US Dollar, width detection is used to detect different sized bills (rogue currency). When counting other currencies, it can be used for rogue denomination detection.
Count & Verify All Currencies
The NC40 makes perfect sense, it can reliably count and fully authenticate all currencies & denominations. Thanks to its high specification sensors, the NC40 can use up to 7 counterfeit detections for any currency. Fully adjustable counterfeit detection also offers maximum flexibility for future currency technology.
Download Free Updates
New bills issued? No problem. The NC40 has an integrated RS232 update port so you can easily download updates. Currency updates and instructions can be downloaded, free of charge from our website. We work with Central Banks to ensure the update is available before the new bill enters circulation.
Automatic or Manual Start
Simplicity at its best; place the bills in the hopper and watch the NC40 start & stop counting automatically. Alternatively, manual start is always available.
Batch counting is also made more streamlined. Simply take the bills from the stacker and the NC40 will instantly start to count the next batch - no buttons to press.
Counts Vouchers, Coupons & Tickets
It could not be simpler. All counterfeit detections can be turned off at the touch of a button, turning the NC40 into a universal counting machine that can count vouchers, coupons or tickets.
Space-Saving Design
The NC40 has been engineered to fit perfectly on the smallest of countertops. It also has an integrated carry handle for easy transport.
